Leading insurer partners with LRT-1 to provide "The Gift of Protection" to thousands of daily commuters throughout December

Malayan Insurance Co., Inc. (MICO), one of the country's leading non-life insurance providers, has partnered with LRT-1 to power a month-long holiday campaign. This initiative offers complimentary Personal Accident (PA) insurance coverage to LRT-1 commuters throughout the entire month of December. The initiative, dubbed "The Gift of Protection," aims to provide peace of mind to thousands of Filipino commuters during the busiest travel season of the year, when millions rush through Metro Manila's railways for holiday shopping, year-end gatherings, and trips to provincial bus terminals for the Christmas break.

The campaign features a full station takeover at LRT-1's Gil Puyat Station, a key transit point for commuters heading to Makati's business districts and nearby provincial bus terminals. A fully wrapped LRT-1 train will also traverse the line throughout December, spreading the message of safety and protection across the metro.

Commuters can avail of the complimentary PA insurance coverage by simply scanning QR codes displayed throughout Gil Puyat Station and on the branded train. The seamless digital process requires only basic information—name and mobile number—and issues a digital policy certificate instantly.

The campaign reflects Malayan Insurance's broader commitment to making insurance more accessible and relevant to everyday Filipinos, shifting the perception of insurance from a burdensome expense to a caring investment in one's safety and future.

The "Gift of Protection" campaign runs through the whole of December 2025, at LRT-1 Gil Puyat Station and aboard one roaming fully wrapped train car.

Cleanfuel Celebrates Yuletide Season with Paskong Panalo e-Raffle Promo

After purchasing, Cleanfuel VIP card members can automatically scan the QR Code (Paskong Panalo wobbler design) attached at every Cleanfuel dispenser that will lead them to Cleanfuel’s Paskong Panalo Sign Up Page https://cleanfuel.ph/raffle/ to fill out the necessary information needed. Once completed, the VIP cardmember will receive an SMS notification stating that their entry has been approved.

The Paskong Panalo ng Cleanfuel promo is applicable to cash, credit card, or any e-payment transactions.

The promo runs until January 26, 2021, and the electronic raffle draw will be held at Cleanfuel Head Office in the presence of a DTI representative scheduled on January 28, 2022. Winners of the raffle draw will be notified via SMS or email that is registered to the system of Cleanfuel.

Raffle winners may redeem their prize within sixty (60) days upon receiving the notification of their prize. Winners must physically visit the head office of Cleanfuel at Marcos Highway, Sitio Daan Cainta, Dela Paz, Pasig City to claim the prize and must present a valid ID, a Cleanfuel VIP card, and a screenshot of the SMS Notification.

Kawit Celebrates Christmas with a Historical Touch

Kawit in Cavite is one of the most sought-after historical sites in the country today and it is one that you should visit this Christmas Season. 

Kawit, Cavite is home to some of the most historic sites in the Philippines. This is where the Aguinaldo Shrine is situated wherein the Philippine flag that we know of today was first waved publicly announcing our Independence by the first Filipino President Emilio Aguinaldo. There’s also a lot to learn about our first president and how he has lived his life and times during the revolution era. Beyond the Shrine also are  other sights to see including the "Museo ni Baldomero Aguinaldo" hailed towards the cousin of Emilio Aguinaldo and grandfather of Cesar Virata who as a prime minister in the 1980s.

Kawit celebrates the Christmas season through a spectacular display of lights at the Aguinaldo Shrine and Freedom Park. The Christmas lighting event was held last December 14, 2019. A fireworks display and lighting of the Christmas lights at the Freedom Park was also held.
