Top 10 Easy Tips to Lose Weight

1. Kiss away: Kissing burns 5-6 calories a minute. Kissing increases heart rate and metabolism. Not only is it fun and enjoyable, but now kissing can help you lose weight. So go ahead and kiss away because it is the best way to lose weight and easy too.

2. Reduce stress: Stress can slow down your metabolism. Stress can cause weight gain. Stress makes you crave for fattier, salty, and sugary foods. Overall stress is bad for your health.

3. Don't eat before going to bed: Eating before sleeping can impact your weight. Stop eating 3 hours before you go to sleep. Metabolism slows down when you sleep, turning food into fat. You should feel hungry before going to bed.

4. Green tea is great: Taking Green tea can help burn excess fat. It can stimulate metabolism thereby burning more calories. It can help suppress appetite.

5. Spicy food is good: Eating spicy food helps to raise metabolism. Hot spices have a chemical called Capsaicin which kick starts metabolism. Spicy foods are known to help suppress appetite, which means smaller portion, decreasing weight gain.

6. Eat the right fats: Choosing the right fats will help you to lose weight quickly. Good fats like olive oil and canola oil are better to be useful.

7. Increase your fiber content: Eating more fiber fills you up, which helps limit snacking. Fiber prevents glucose level from spiking and generating more body fat. Fiber clears your digestive tract and toxins and binds to fatty acids and expels it from your body.

8. Read the food labels: Be aware of what you eat and what you put in your mouth. There are many ingredients that aid in weight gain. Read food labels to make healthier food choices. Choose foods with high protein, fiber, low sugar, fat and sodium. Be careful of serving size.

9. Don't skip breakfast: Eating breakfast helps you to lose your weight faster. Breakfast helps to re-fuel the body and controls your cravings. People who eat breakfast are less likely to become obese. Eat breakfast within one hour after you wake up.

10. Drink a lot of water: Water helps remove toxins and excess fat from your body. Try to drink 8-12 ounces of water before every meal. In this situation your brain will start working efficiently and will suggest you to eat less. Drinking cold water will speed up your metabolism and try to drink at least 8 glasses a day.

How to Enjoy Being Single

Source: WaGaS
If you're fixated on being part of a couple, here are some reasons to savor your SINGLENESS.

IGNORE THE NAYSAYERS
In a couple-driven consumer marketing society, you're bound to come across people who wonder why you're single, as if the ultimate goal in life is to pair up with another human being and cling to that ideal as if your life depends on it. They might even imply that something is "wrong" with you if you're single. Brace yourself for that kind of ignorance. Remember that you don't have to defend your right for being single, just like it's rude to attack the validity of someone's relationship. Just say "I prefer being single" and change the subject or mention that statistics show that 1/2 of all people are single.

FOCUS ON FRIENDSHIP
Being single doesn't have to mean being lonely. When you're single, you have more time to do a variety of things, all of which are opportunities to forge new friendships. Even if you're an introvert, this can be an excellent time to nurture your extroverted side. But social butterflies can grapple with loneliness too. Make it a priority in your life to create meaningful friendships and enrich your existing ones.
¤ Learn How to Talk to Strangers.
¤ Practice communication skills that improve and deepen friendships:
¤ Be Optimistic. Whether you're in a relationship or not, you want to be happy. Research shows that the number one ingredient for happiness, by far, is optimism.

ENJOY YOUR FREEDOM
Everybody has radical little fantasies and the chances of pairing up with someone who shares such a fantasy with equal fervor is not something to hold your breath for. So what are you waiting for? Find some people who have the same idea, or just go for it alone, and you'll meet like-minded people along the way.

APPRECIATE THE ABSENCE OF COMPROMISE
Classic relationship advice dictates that compromise, sacrifice are essential to a healthy relationship. Perhaps if you've been in a relationship before, you realize how much stuff you had to give up in order to make that relationship work. Or maybe you forgot about that stuff, because you're focused on the things you miss. Well, this is a good time to shift that focus. If you're a slob, isn't it great to be able to leave your stuff laying around, without anybody minding? If you're a neat freak, isn't it wonderful to be able to organize everything, and find it the way you left it? Isn't it nice to be able to cook and eat and enjoy foods that a partner might be averse to? Isn't it cool to be able to go out spontaneously, without wondering whether your partner can or should be invited? A relationship can add many good things to your life, but it also adds some rigidity, so take the time to appreciate your current flexibility.

CHERISH THE EXCITEMENT
Relationships tend to come along with planning -- for example, you can't just accept a job across the country without touching base with your significant other. And generally, if you're in it for the long haul, you'll likely talk about what you'll be doing years from now. But when you're single, the future is completely open. Right now you're single, but tomorrow you might meet your soul-mate. Who knows? Fantasize. Be spontaneous. Be bold.

BEING A MARRIED IS A LIFESTYLE CHOICE AND NOT A REQUIREMENT
Therefore, being single is a "lifestyle choice" and not a "default option." It is possible to CHOOSE to be single. There are advantages to being married just as there are disadvantages to being married, such as loss of personal freedom, having to compromise, etc. Conversely, there are advantages to being single, as well as disadvantages. Whether one is married or single is nothing more than a lifestyle choice.

TIPS
¤ Say yes to every opportunity to learn, grow and meet new people.
¤ Be grateful for what you have. Many people in the world don't have what you have.
¤ Decide for yourself if there are aspects of your life or your personality that you would like to change and do it. You are your best evaluator. You don't need to listen to those people who tell you that you are single because you are too "picky", too fat, or too old to meet someone else.
¤ Ignore the toxic people in your life. It is easy to recognize them. Their negative words of fear and discouragement sap your energy.
Invest in yourself. Save some money and get a professional massage. Get a manicure and pedicure... anything that nurtures your body and lifts your spirit.
¤ Look in your local newspaper for opportunities to join a service club or volunteer with an organization. Look in your church newsletter for church related activities if that makes you happy. Check the continuing education program at your local community college to see if there is a class that you would like to attend.
¤ Be sociable, go out and have fun and meet new people, just because there is no one in your life yet doesn't mean there never will be. Take your time and wait for the right person.

HyperSports Get Fit Run 2012 Launch and Get-Together

May 26, 2012
Honor Tea House, Hobbies of Asia, Macapagal Avenue, Pasay City
Accomplices: HyperSports training buddies and coaches

Finally! After a few months (Saturdays, actually) of training together and one bright suggestion to organize their own fun run. An official announcement was made. I also received an SMS invite from HyperSports Philippines Inc. last Wednesday, thus sealing my Saturday afternoon schedule. After obtaining directions from Coach Djundi Binas, the deal is made. I am going to attend this launch!

Saturday came. I went home as early as I could from graveyard shift so that I can catch at least a 4-hour sleep. Waking up at around 1:00pm, I hurriedly prepared and went off to attend the launch. When I arrived at
Honor Tea House, some of my training buddies were already there. It was nice to see them again (after missing some sessions due to other commitments).

Before the launch began, we encountered a "
minor" technical issue. Resourceful as we are, a work-around has been put in place. Projector not working? No problem. Enter widescreen monitor. Problem solved. Some photos to highlight the launch.

First five photos shows us Coach Edmar Dionson introducing our host for the day - Supladong Irish Runner who gave the opening remarks and eventually intorduced the day's presenter -
Coach Ralph Soguilon.

After the short presentation, it's raffle (
5 Get Fit Now cotton tees were given away) and free race kit giveaway time! The time I spent to attend this launch was worth it.

Snacks were also served! It's nice to have a snack while watching a presentation. It was a perfect afternoon. What more can we ask for? This is one of those things that we should be grateful for. Good food and good company displayed at it's best that afternoon :)

Cake (Coke), Anyone?

Sa susunod na birthday ko... ganito ang gusto kong cake :)

The Avengers Funny Scene

Still have traces of The AVENGERS hangover :)

Okay, people, the Hulk smashing Loki like a doll is one of the funniest scene I have ever seen in this movie.

Loki:
"I am a GOD, you green ugly creature... and I will not be bullied by you!"

Hulk:
(Smashes Loki at the floor a few times) "Puny God."
